Course providers

In England, Scotland and Wales, providers are organisations approved by one of the national Mountain Training organisations. In Ireland and Northern Ireland, providers are individuals. The provider has responsibilities to their respective national Mountain Training organisation with regards to course administration.

Providers each set their own course dates and prices depending on what’s included. Some offer residential as well as non-residential options and most will happily deliver bespoke courses for groups. Some providers have a physical base, others are mobile and use suitable facilities and locations to deliver courses.

The national Mountain Training organisations assure the quality of our providers at several touchpoints: during provider and course director induction, every time a course report is submitted, at update workshops and during in-person moderation visits at least every three years.

If you are interested in becoming a provider and delivering our courses, more information can be found here: Become a course provider
