16.08.24
Following the success of our 2022 Women in Mountain Training conference and as part of our continued Gender Equality Strategy; we are excited to be hosting the 2024 conference at Outward Bound Ullswater in the Lake District, on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd November 2024.
The conference is open to women and gender minorities at any stage of their Mountain Training journey, so long as they are at least registered on one qualification.
Men interested in supporting women and girls are encouraged to access 2022’s resource page here, OutdoorHer here and keep an eye out for our 2024 resources and report.
The conference has the following aims:
- To support women engaging with Mountain Training qualifications at all levels.
- To provide an opportunity for women to develop knowledge networks.
- To offer development to women in becoming a Mountain Training course provider and taking up other leadership opportunities in the sector.
- To share the findings from the conference with our providers, sector employers and managers to help them understand the challenges women face.
Designed with input from our Women in Mountain Training Facebook community and using feedback from 2022, we are excited to offer the following programme:
