Mountain Training is moving to digital certification
21.04.26Mountain Training will soon take the next step on our journey towards digital certification. Since 2012 when we first consolidated nine different spreadsheets into a bespoke candidate management system, we have been steadily moving away from using paper. In recent months, an increasing number of people have been asking for a digital certificate, so we’re pleased to announce…
From 6th May 2026, we will no longer send out paper certificates for our qualifications. Digital certificates for all qualifications will be accessed via the Training tab of your account. For now, we will continue to send skills certificates to providers of our skills courses to be distributed to participants.
A digital qualification certificate will look like this:
Ultimate proof of qualification is stored in your account, not on a piece of paper or even a digital pdf. If you are required to prove your qualifications to an employer or a client, we encourage you to share your public profile if you're an association member, or share your DLOG as this includes an ‘Awards’ page with details of all completed training courses and passed assessments.
When can I download my certificate?
If you are already qualified, you will be able to download a digital certificate(s) from 6th May 2026.
If you have recently attended an assessment, course providers have 21 days following the end of the course to submit a report to us. We then have 10 working days to process (approve) the report.
How can I download my certificate?
From 6th May 2026: Navigate to the Training tab of your account and scroll to the qualification certificate you would like to print. Click the 'Download Certificate' button and save the file on your device.
Replacement paper certificates
We have a small amount of paper certificate stock left and will continue to print paper replacement certificates until the stock runs out. Order a replacement certificate.
