Mountain Training England reopens access to funding
07.08.24Mountain Training England's Trustees have recently completed a review of the highly successful bursary schemes which support people from ethnic minority groups or with a disability to undertake Mountain Training courses run by our providers, which they would not otherwise been able to do.
Much has been learned and we are currently putting in place changes that will enable us to better reach and support future applicants. Details will be shared in the autumn.
In the meantime Mountain Training England is keen to ensure that those who need support are able to receive it. We have re-opened the two existing bursary funds for a temporary period.
Please note that the application forms have been updated and now require applicants to confirm that they would not be able to undertake the course that they are applying for without the bursary.
In addition, in order to ensure that our funds benefit as many people as possible, a maximum of two courses per applicant will be funded.
