1. Participation Statement

Mountain Training recognises that climbing, hill walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions. Mountain Training has developed a range of training and assessment schemes and associated supporting literature to help leaders manage these risks and to enable new participants to have positive experiences while learning about their responsibilities.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

A. Description of products

We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time the information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the website as up to date as possible, the information including product descriptions, images and prices appearing on this website at a particular time may not always reflect the exact stock the moment you place an order. We cannot confirm the price of products until your order processed by a member of staff.

B. Returns

Under the United Kingdom Consumer Contracts Regulations if you change your mind about a purchase you have the right to cancel the order and return any item(s) within a period of 14 days beginning with the day after the date on which the item was delivered* or service ordered. This applies to all purchases of goods and services from our candidate management system (https://mt.tahdah.me). It is the buyer's responsibility to return the item(s) to the address below, please include the original packaging and labels.

For all memberships, cancellation must take place within 14 days from the day after the membership fee was paid.

*Delivery date is assumed as 3 working days after date of postage, including Saturdays, as per Royal Mail 2nd class delivery turnaround times.

For your protection we recommend that you use an insured delivery service when returning items as you are responsible for the item until we have received it. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of return postage unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is found to be faulty.

6. Service standards

A. Delivery

  • All orders for goods and services will be processed and sent out within 5 working days.
  • All orders will be sent by 2nd class post.
  • All prices are inclusive of postage and packing to a mainland UK addresses, unless otherwise stated. International postage is calculated at a flat rate, based on Royal Mail price scale for an A5 package weighing 555g.

B. Telephone calls/Emails

Telephone messages/emails will receive a response within 48hours (working days only). Calls are to a local rate number, call charges from a mobile may vary (please check with your provider).

*Working days are Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays and other public holidays.

C. Complaints
