Mountain Training England’s Skills and Training Fund will in 2021 grant £5,000 to support and encourage greater ethnic diversity. People who face barriers to participation are significantly under-represented and less engaged with all Mountain Training awards, skills and courses. Empowering more independent walkers and climbers from these groups is in line with our vision:
To promote a diverse and active outdoor society, supported by inspirational leaders, instructors and coaches.
The 2021 Skills and Training Fund will be awarded to individuals, Strategic Partners and approved MTE course Providers enabling people and/or communities who are currently under-represented among our candidates to benefit from Mountain Training England’s skills and leadership schemes.
Inspiring more diverse participants to lead, coach and role model
