Mentoring Programme - additional opportunities to get mentor support

We have had a great response to the mentoring programme this year. For that reason we are extending our invitation for trainee members to apply to get mentoring support towards an assessment. We have additional mentors raring to go to support members working towards an assessment. Whether its a climbing, walking or coaching qualificaitons, we have additional mentors trained and ready to help you achieve your goals.
What the role entails
- You and your Mentor will sign up to an initial commitment for 12 months, and you are both are expected to:
- Create a written mentoring agreement outlining your intended working partnership.
- Conduct a minimum of six sessions, which will consist of reflective questioning, advice, guidance and self-reflection. Arrange two face-to-face meetings, if geographically possible. These opportunities allow you to forge a stronger rapport with each other, and could be used:

- Go walking or climbing together
- Have a café meeting to discuss progress, reflect and re evaluate.
- Potentially, these meetings may be used for observing/assisting with groups (at Mentor’s discretion).
- Complete monitoring and evaluation documentation to help MTA develop the programme and demonstrate impact.
