What a weekend! - MTA Autumn CPD Conference
18-19th November 2017
Expert instructors, super keen members, kind weather and amazing
Plas y Brenin food and accommodation proved to be the perfect recipe for a very successful MTA CPD autumn conference last weekend.
We had a fantastic range of full day workshops run by experts in their fields, all designed to support members through their training, consolidation, get them ready for assessment and/or refresh their skills when they're out and about using their awards. Members were given opportunities to master their contour navigation, get to grips with GPS, top-up their geology knowledge, take their skills to the next level with a personal scrambling workshop and learn how to promote their businesses through social media and web design, plus much much more! A big thanks to all of our workshop providers for delivering some fantastic CPD!
Nicola from Mountain Training updated members on the
Climbing Awards Review and Toby Davies from
Sherpa Adventure Gear UK was around all weekend sharing his knowledge about technical kit and showing off next season's clothing lines.
And it didn't end there! To top off the weekend, Guest speaker and Sherpa Ambassador, Shirin Shabestari did a great job presenting an inspiring evening talk and opened eyes and minds to the opportunities for expeditioning in Iran.

A huge thanks to all involved and all that attended. We're looking forward to bringing more members together at similar events next year!
