2018 MTA volunteer opportunities
Regional Coordinator
Our membership is growing annually and the spread of members across the UK is ever changing. As a result, we're looking to create more local communities of support within the wider MTA community and we have a number of brand new regional volunteer posts available, as well as a replacement post for Sue Manns our West Midlands Coordinator who is stepping down in order to take up another volunteer role within her profession. We'd like to say a big thank you to Sue for all her hard work and wish her the best of luck in her new ventures.
These additional regional groups will allow us to provide more CPD and peer events on your doorsteps. We're looking to recruit volunteer regional coordinators in the following new regions:
- Central Belt of Scotland
- Yorkshire
- North West - Manchester/Liverpool
- West Midlands
- Central England - East Anglia
- South West - Bristol
Prerequisites
- A keen interest in supporting the aims and objectives of MTA.
- Has some free time to devote to organising/hosting events to support local members - socials, peer events, free talks/lectures etc
- Current MTA member (desirable)

Support Volunteer
Similarly, if you're interested in volunteering in some capacity but you're not sure you want to take on the position of a regional coordinator, why not apply to be a support volunteer in your region instead? Support volunteers exist to provide a little bit of help to the regional coordinator throughout the year; organising some events and perhaps hosting some meet-ups at venues near you, to share the load and reduce the amount of travel for the regional coordinators.
Prerequisites
As above.
