Vacancy - Digital Engagement Coordinator

Salary: £25,000 per annum

Employed by: Mountain Training United Kingdom and Ireland (MTUKI)

Working hours: This is a full-time permanent post, 35 hours, with fixed working hours of 9-5, Monday-Friday. 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays. 3 month probationary period.

Overview

Mountain Training UK & Ireland are looking for a creative and organised individual, who can develop a range of resources to support our candidates and partners. Working with staff and officers the post-holder will devise and create digital solutions (e-modules, videos, webinars, etc.) to help better engage our candidates, members and to promote our work and that of our partners.

We are looking for someone, who, alongside creativity and great organisational skills, has great interpersonal skills and a flexible approach to work.

The post-holder will also provide general Information and Communications Technology (ICT) support to the organisation and our candidates, primarily with regard to our Candidate management System (CMS).

Job description

  • Develop digital resources to support candidates and providers (video, audio, webinar, etc.)
  • Produce media content (storyboard, film, record, edit and format)
  • Curate the website alongside the Media & IT Development Officer, creating and editing content
  • Create, edit and enhance existing e-learning modules
  • Support the Media & IT Development Officer with general ICT issues
  • Liaise with ICT suppliers as required
  • Support our partners through the provision of digital expertise for e-learning and media projects
  • Other digital engagement tasks and projects as commensurate with the role
This is a new role for Mountain Training and we expect it to evolve and develop over time with input from the post-holder. Person specification

Essential
  • Media/film production
  • Website editing, curation and updating
  • Multi-tasking and the ability to resolve issues in a fast and efficient manner
  • An understanding of online learning and some experience of teaching in any context
  • Critical and proactive approach to database and ICT issues
  • Problem solving through creative solutions
  • Proofreading and copy editing
  • Proactive
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
Desirable
  • An active interest in walking, climbing and/or mountaineering
  • Experience of the successful use of Teachable, Moodle or similar online learning/teaching software to create e-learning modules
  • Understanding and/or experience of the work of Mountain Training
  • Budget experience
  • Welsh speaker
  • Relevant qualifications
