Who we are

Mountain Training Scotland, as one of five National Mountain Training Boards, works closely with the central coordinating body, Mountain Training United Kingdom (MTUK), to develop and manage a portfolio of UK wide qualification schemes known as the Mountain Training schemes. This ensures parity in the qualifications syllabi, and consistency of delivery across all the National Mountain Training Boards throughout the UK and Ireland. As a National Governing Body, MTS receives investment from its funding partner Sport Scotland.
